15 minutes a day, free ride in a month?

Is this all possible? Or is it one of those things again, which is beneficial only for the eye? We shall find out today. Or should I say, today is the last day of a research, which was going on for roughly a month now. Using the e-rewards.co.uk, and the Rewards for Thoughts webistes.

I have found e-rewards.co.uk, through my British Airways frequent flyer account, with an offer, that I can fill out surveys and receive avios in return. Which is a good offer as far as I can see, as these surveys are normally about clicking in one box or another, or maybe typing down an answer. And in about 15-20 minutes it is all done, and you get a certain amount of points towards your e-rewards account.

Of course you can ask, what is the business in this for the airline, and to be completely honest, I would be struggling to give an answer for that, as I have no idea, why is this such a huge business for them.

Although I would like to point out here, that it is not just British Airways, it is actually avios as well, who do have a similar programme, so all in all with about 30-40 minutes of doing this, you can be on your way to a return ticket.

Which gave me an idea.

As if I can do 30-40 minutes of clicking in a day, and receive a relatively high amount of miles wouldn’t be bad. Considering, roughly how much I would be able to get with the combined services of the two websites.

Rewards for Thoughs:

1 survey a day x 50 avios x 30 days is = : 1.500 miles / avios

e-rewards:

1 survey a day x average 450 points x 30 days, az 13.500 points, which in the exchange system of e-rewards is about: 4.000 miles / avios.

Which isn’t even enough for a single domestic ticket in the United Kingdom. Or at least not for the “free” ride. But than again I have started to use both of the services, as the potential 5.500 miles / avios a month, is could fly me quite close to discounts, or to those destinations which I have not considered previously, due to the expensiveness of the tickets.

So how does it work? Well they send you an email, if a survey has become available, and if yes they normally have a direct link in the email as well.

The direct link would get you to the survey itself, where you’ll see this (or a very similar) picture.

1
The main advantage of e-rewards, that even in the case we wouldn’t be eligible for the survey, we still get point to our account.

After this you would get a wide variety of topics. I have done a ‘response’ for Red Bull’s new advertisement campaign, in 25 minutes. But there has been an occasion where they have asked me about my recent flight as well. Which was great as it would be almost impossible, not to qualify for that, as I have been on-board.

What happens if you’re not the one for the surveyors?

Well, nothing. You’ll receive a message, that they’re sorry, but they either have the needed amount of answers, or according to the screening questions, you’re not in the correctage group, or your gender is not the one required for the survey, etc. etc.

As it is shown on the picture above, one of the main advantages of e-rewards, is that even in this case you’ll receive a compensation. Though not too much, but still more than nothing. And yes, yes I know, that the 600 points and the 25 points at the moment doesn’t give you too much information, and I admit that it is quite hard to tell from the picture if this is something you might want to deal with or not.

Well the exchange system, which could be reached from the ‘My Account’ part of the e-Rewards website, will show you exactly if it is worth it.

(Disclaimer: The current 375 point on my account are the ones which are left, from the points of a survey done on the day of this article being published, and from a compensation of not being eligible for another one, and I have made a few conversions already in this month)

As you can see with two of the 600 points worth of questionnaires, you can be 250 miles closer to the destination of your dreams. Which is almost exactly the same amount of avios what you will receive on a booked domestic flight, with British Airways.

And I would say the system is smart, as the longer you accumulate point, the better the conversion rate is going to be. Though we can argue to the point, that in a day you won’t be able to get 6.500 point, especially not under 15 minutes, as mentioned in the title.

But my opinion is the following, the first option is just not worth it, as even with just a little effort, I could easily double to point on my e-rewards account, and earn double the avios as well. And to reach 6.500, well that is not an easy task to do.

Also I would like to point out, that the e-Rewards system converts the point into avios immediately, though until you’ll be able to see or use them, could take up to 35 working days. So it would be beneficial to plan well ahead, and exchange the point according to the needs of a future travel.

And with that we came to the end of the e-Rewards part.

Let’s see what the Rewards for Thoughts could do.

Well this system first of all is a bit more comfortable, as the site, and the rewards are both run by avios. So the time between filling out the survey, and getting the miles for them, are significantly less, and normally takes about 24 hours.

The other advantages, are that most of their surveys are shorter, and there is more chance to spend really only 15, but a maximum of 20 minutes on the website, and earn a 100 avios on that day.

2

Similarly to the services of e-Rewards, this website is going to make sure, that it gives you information about your potential earnings, and on what you can expect, at least when it comes to the length of the survey. Although you can see, that Rewards for Thoughts doesn’t give you any compensation if for some reason you wouldn’t be qualified for a survey. Although compared to e-Rewards it isn’t as likely to happen. As before every survey, there is a ‘personality test’, which you don’t have to fill in, but it is recommended.

These questions are just trying to find out, what have you been doing in the last 12 months, such as have you bought a new car, subscribed for Amazon Prime, or Netflix. If you have any illnesses, which you might take medication for. And if you were to answer these questions, than the algorithms of the website would be able to tailor the questionnaires more around yourself. So in about 95% of the case you’ll be eligible for them.

When it comes to the surveys themselves, this website is almost essentially the same is the other, the topics, and the depth of which they are asking you about is not going to differ to much. Although I have to say, that I have had less errors with this system, than with e-Rewards.

Not to mention, that the surface is much more user friendly, and the transactions are easier.

So let’s see how things are adding up after a month?

After opening my British Airways Executive Club account, it could be seen quite well, that the amount of avios I have is somewhere between the three and four thousand miles. Of course these doesn’t include the result of the surveys I have done in the last two days. So all in all I have to say for me it was worth to use these two services. As in March these avios were the ones, which saved my life from getting stuck at Heathrow airport, when I was going home.

5

Would I recommend these services than to anyone?

Well if you are an avios or British Airways frequent flyer member, by all means. If you aren’t well, in that case you might still want to register to at least the Rewards for Thoughts website, as avios can be used not just on flights, but with some hotel bookings, and you can receive avios in many ways.

And that pretty much sums it up. I hope that we could have given you some entertainment today as well. If you enjoyed this content make sure to give it a like down below, and share it with your friends. Who knows, they might benefit from it as well.
