15 minutes a day, free ride in a month?

Is this all possible? Or is it one of those things again, which is beneficial only for the eye? We shall find out today. Or should I say, today is the last day of a research, which was going on for roughly a month now. Using the e-rewards.co.uk, and the Rewards for Thoughts webistes.

I have found e-rewards.co.uk, through my British Airways frequent flyer account, with an offer, that I can fill out surveys and receive avios in return. Which is a good offer as far as I can see, as these surveys are normally about clicking in one box or another, or maybe typing down an answer. And in about 15-20 minutes it is all done, and you get a certain amount of points towards your e-rewards account.

Of course you can ask, what is the business in this for the airline, and to be completely honest, I would be struggling to give an answer for that, as I have no idea, why is this such a huge business for them.

Although I would like to point out here, that it is not just British Airways, it is actually avios as well, who do have a similar programme, so all in all with about 30-40 minutes of doing this, you can be on your way to a return ticket.

Which gave me an idea.

As if I can do 30-40 minutes of clicking in a day, and receive a relatively high amount of miles wouldn’t be bad. Considering, roughly how much I would be able to get with the combined services of the two websites.

Rewards for Thoughs:

1 survey a day x 50 avios x 30 days is = : 1.500 miles / avios

e-rewards:

1 survey a day x average 450 points x 30 days, az 13.500 points, which in the exchange system of e-rewards is about: 4.000 miles / avios.

Which isn’t even enough for a single domestic ticket in the United Kingdom. Or at least not for the “free” ride. But than again I have started to use both of the services, as the potential 5.500 miles / avios a month, is could fly me quite close to discounts, or to those destinations which I have not considered previously, due to the expensiveness of the tickets.

So how does it work? Well they send you an email, if a survey has become available, and if yes they normally have a direct link in the email as well.

The direct link would get you to the survey itself, where you’ll see this (or a very similar) picture.

1
The main advantage of e-rewards, that even in the case we wouldn’t be eligible for the survey, we still get point to our account.

After this you would get a wide variety of topics. I have done a ‘response’ for Red Bull’s new advertisement campaign, in 25 minutes. But there has been an occasion where they have asked me about my recent flight as well. Which was great as it would be almost impossible, not to qualify for that, as I have been on-board.

What happens if you’re not the one for the surveyors?

Well, nothing. You’ll receive a message, that they’re sorry, but they either have the needed amount of answers, or according to the screening questions, you’re not in the correctage group, or your gender is not the one required for the survey, etc. etc.

As it is shown on the picture above, one of the main advantages of e-rewards, is that even in this case you’ll receive a compensation. Though not too much, but still more than nothing. And yes, yes I know, that the 600 points and the 25 points at the moment doesn’t give you too much information, and I admit that it is quite hard to tell from the picture if this is something you might want to deal with or not.

Well the exchange system, which could be reached from the ‘My Account’ part of the e-Rewards website, will show you exactly if it is worth it.

(Disclaimer: The current 375 point on my account are the ones which are left, from the points of a survey done on the day of this article being published, and from a compensation of not being eligible for another one, and I have made a few conversions already in this month)

As you can see with two of the 600 points worth of questionnaires, you can be 250 miles closer to the destination of your dreams. Which is almost exactly the same amount of avios what you will receive on a booked domestic flight, with British Airways.

4

And I would say the system is smart, as the longer you accumulate point, the better the conversion rate is going to be. Though we can argue to the point, that in a day you won’t be able to get 6.500 point, especially not under 15 minutes, as mentioned in the title.

But my opinion is the following, the first option is just not worth it, as even with just a little effort, I could easily double to point on my e-rewards account, and earn double the avios as well. And to reach 6.500, well that is not an easy task to do.

Also I would like to point out, that the e-Rewards system converts the point into avios immediately, though until you’ll be able to see or use them, could take up to 35 working days. So it would be beneficial to plan well ahead, and exchange the point according to the needs of a future travel.

And with that we came to the end of the e-Rewards part.

Let’s see what the Rewards for Thoughts could do.

Well this system first of all is a bit more comfortable, as the site, and the rewards are both run by avios. So the time between filling out the survey, and getting the miles for them, are significantly less, and normally takes about 24 hours.

The other advantages, are that most of their surveys are shorter, and there is more chance to spend really only 15, but a maximum of 20 minutes on the website, and earn a 100 avios on that day.

2

Similarly to the services of e-Rewards, this website is going to make sure, that it gives you information about your potential earnings, and on what you can expect, at least when it comes to the length of the survey. Although you can see, that Rewards for Thoughts doesn’t give you any compensation if for some reason you wouldn’t be qualified for a survey. Although compared to e-Rewards it isn’t as likely to happen. As before every survey, there is a ‘personality test’, which you don’t have to fill in, but it is recommended.

These questions are just trying to find out, what have you been doing in the last 12 months, such as have you bought a new car, subscribed for Amazon Prime, or Netflix. If you have any illnesses, which you might take medication for. And if you were to answer these questions, than the algorithms of the website would be able to tailor the questionnaires more around yourself. So in about 95% of the case you’ll be eligible for them.

When it comes to the surveys themselves, this website is almost essentially the same is the other, the topics, and the depth of which they are asking you about is not going to differ to much. Although I have to say, that I have had less errors with this system, than with e-Rewards.

Not to mention, that the surface is much more user friendly, and the transactions are easier.

3

So let’s see how things are adding up after a month?

After opening my British Airways Executive Club account, it could be seen quite well, that the amount of avios I have is somewhere between the three and four thousand miles. Of course these doesn’t include the result of the surveys I have done in the last two days. So all in all I have to say for me it was worth to use these two services. As in March these avios were the ones, which saved my life from getting stuck at Heathrow airport, when I was going home.

5

Would I recommend these services than to anyone?

Well if you are an avios or British Airways frequent flyer member, by all means. If you aren’t well, in that case you might still want to register to at least the Rewards for Thoughts website, as avios can be used not just on flights, but with some hotel bookings, and you can receive avios in many ways.

And that pretty much sums it up. I hope that we could have given you some entertainment today as well. If you enjoyed this content make sure to give it a like down below, and share it with your friends. Who knows, they might benefit from it as well.

Would you want €50 off from the cost of your holidays? Yes?! WizzAir has the solution!

Hey guys, what is going on Mark here! And I know it has been a while, since we actually had a chance to publish anything about sales, or well anything in particular. But today we have just spotted an offer, which we wanted to give you a bit more information about.

Of course you can ask, that after so many complaining articles about WizzAir, what is this sudden change, that I’m about to give details of the sales of this airline?

Well, it is the recent experience, and with that recent experience the fact, that the airline has managed to improve on its reputation, and now I’m not looking for RyanAir or EasyJet tickets, if for some reason I would need an alternative to a British Airways flight. But lets get to the main reason this article has been created, shall we?

So in this particular case WizzTours Kft. has announced their summer sales, of which if you were to book your flights, and hotel with them, then they give you €50 off from the normal price.

All you have to do, is go on to http://www.wizztours.com/ and use the SUMMER50EUR promotional code, to book one of their packages.

The offer is valid only for booking made between 8th August, 2016 and 10th August, 2016 for holiday packages (flight + hotel) starting before 30th September, 2016. Wizz Tours is an online service, provided by Wizz Tours Kft. The promotional code, offers €50 discount from new bookings, for a maximum of 9 persons on each booking. This offer cannot be combined with any others.

Being completely honest, I wouldn’t want to miss out on this opportunity, if I would know, that the guys from HR would let me go on a holiday, but that’s another question at this point. 😀

We hope, that we could have helped today for everyone planning their summer holidays, or even for those ones, who have starting making plans for their autumn city breaks. If you enjoyed this content make sure to give it a like down below, and share it with your friends, so they won’t miss out on this opportunity.

WizzAir has announced yet another new destination!

Hey guys,
As it seems like airlines definitely have their announcements planned quite well, at least for that, to ruin our own publishing schedule! 😀 Although WizzAir has made an announcement, which you should know about. Here are the details!

On the 6th July, 2016. WizzAir has announced, that they are going to open a new route from Budapest, and at this time the destination is the Bulgarian sea side, Varna.

Just as usual, for the first time the route is going to be operated with two flights a week. And from the 3rd August, there is going to be one outbound, and one inbound flight on every Wednesday, and Sunday.

And even though the airline is hoping for the success of the route itself, in the booking system the last available flight is the one on Sunday, the 18th September, 2016. If this is only due to the changes between the summer and winter schedules, or that this route is only a one or so month long experiment, well we don’t have the information about that.

What we know for sure though, is that the flight to Varna will be flown by the airline’s Airbus A320s, and they’ll be flying under W62475/W62476 flight numbers. The outbound flight will depart from Budapest at 11:10, and it will arrive to Varna at 13:45 local time. The inbound flight will depart at 14:15, and will arrive back to Budapest at 14:40 local time.

When it comes to the ticket prices, they are going to be at around 18-23 thousand Hungarian Forints, without selecting any extra services, and travelling with a small size hand luggage only.

Thank you for tuning in to us today as well. We hope that we could have given you a bit of an encouragement to travel. Also guys, if you liked this content make sure to give it a thumbs up down below, and share it with your friends, especially the ones, who are planning their holidays now. A beginners guide to flying part 4

Hey guys, what is going on Mark here,

As I have mentioned at the end of my article about Tripit today we have prepared something for you, what is the next episode of a long ongoing series. During the previous three occasions, when we’ve been giving you guidance. We took into account how to find the best price for a certain route, than we talked about fear of flying, and after all that we had a question time as well, with one of my favourite, what would happen if…? And now we have arrived to the part where we would be talking about the legislations, and your rights as an air passenger. And luckily we wouldn’t end the article here with the sentence that ‘You have the right to remain silent.’

First of all I just want to say, that this is going to be one of those articles of which’s contents are going to be true only at the time of publishing. And if any changes would get implemented in regards of the actual legislation, than we’d let you know about those either in a comment under this article, or in a separate article.

Tripit, the best trip organiser?

Hey guys, what is going on Mark here, back with another topic, and today we’re going to show you an application, and a website, which can be useful for all of you, regardless if this is going to be your first journey, or even in the case if you’re comfortable and a bit brave as well, to embark on a trip where you only have 45 minutes of transfer time from one flight to another on Schipol Airport.
Even though in the last couple of days I haven’t been on the website, but I constantly get notifications of one of my upcoming trips. And even though I have used this service for a while now, with its iOS application on both my iPad and iPhone.

I have to say, that at first glance I didn’t understood why I’m even bothering with this, and why have I started using something like that, what I have never considered before, but I have to say it makes all aspects of all pre-organised journey really comfortable. As it can handle not just flights, but hotels, and any other kind of ground or rail transport methods, and the bookings connected to these. Thanks to that you’ll probably never plan a holiday, where one of your programs might clash with the time of your flight.

thetrainline.com offers

Hey guys, what is going on Mark here,

And even though for today we have planned something else to be published, but at the moment we have bumped into so much of a good deal, that we wanted to let you know about it. As this would allow you to make significant cost cuts on your holidays.

Today’s offer is going to be good for our readers from the United Kingdom, or for those who are planning their holidays, or city breaks in the U.K. As the website thetrainline.com just recently announced, that on many routes they’d be able to provide tickets for as little as £6.50

In between those offers are the following routes

  • Newcastle – Leeds £9.50
  • Newcastle – Sheffield £9.50
  • Newcastle – York £6.90
  • Newcastle – Darlington £6.50
  • Newcastle – Doncaster £9.50
  • Newcastle – Edinburgh £9.60
  • Newcastle – Glasgow £10.00

Of course the offers are available on other routes than these, to actually get them, the only thing you’ll need to do is go onto the website thetrainline.com, and search for your planned destinations.

Just one small suggestion, if you’re arriving to the UK at Luton, Stansted, or London Gatwick airports, than use either the National Express, Stansted Express, or Gatwick Express (or maybe even Northern Line) services to get to the closest railway station. And in this case it would be either London Euston, London Paddington, or London Kings Cross. And start your thetrainline.com searches from these railway stations, as the offer stands for London (any), Doncaster, York, Darlington, Durham, Newcastle, Edinburgh (any), Glasgow (any).

Also it would be cheaper if you buy separate tickets in most of the cases if you get from the airport to your closest railway station.

For more details please have a look on thetrainline.com, and plan the rest of the journey there.

Should you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us, on any of our contact details below. Also please make sure you like and subscribe this article, as more content is coming up, and we don’t want you to miss it.
